One Million Dollars

What would you do if you had a million dollars and it was determined that you could live on that amount of money? Bruce, a coworker asked me this today and I think it is a good exercise for all of us.

I would quite my job ( I now have enough money, it's time I am short of ) and never leave my backyard except for plant expeditions and a yearly weeks vacation. Well maybe two weeks because I do have a million dollars.

Thinking about that scenario yields a lot of information about who we are and what we want. Ask yourself "what would I do"? You have one minute to finish.

Now most of us will never have a million dollars and that is not enough anyway.....But what would you do? OK, take that and adapt it to today and you have a scaled back utopia; what you want, when you want it.

Some call it wisdom and some call it life experience but either way, the longer you are here the more you realize what is important and how important it is to achieve it. Some have the resources, some improvise and some do nothing.

Better to inhale now than to always wonder!

The Visit

The following six part series is a typical visit to Mark and Jenn's house. They are of coarse in Europe for two months. This is for them because I know they miss their kids.
I am only the backup sitter. Someone else does this every day!

Never to old to learn

We have heard, we have seen and we have adapted. We are now blogging. Who would have thought we were capable of such a thing as blogging? What is it anyway?

Never under estimate your parents ability to adapt!

Help me out Vickie!

Medusa

Medusa, in Greek mythology was the mortal of three Grogon sisters. Any who looked into her eyes was turned to stone! Her hair was a nest of snakes.
This is ghost plant, mother of pearl or sedum.
Genus: Graptopletalum
Family: crassulaceae
Species: G. paraguayense
Requiring no attention, it will reward you with small star-shaped white blooms in spring. It's main feature is grey rosettes that hold drops of water. In sunlight the plant appears to be holding diamonds or pearls.Full sun to part shade with well drained soil.

Medusa was beheaded by the hero Perseus and Pegasus, the flying horse, was born from the blood of her severed head.
